A pregnant woman was home alone on a Friday morning when a strange man knocked on her door. As she wasn’t expecting anyone, she did not answer. Twenty minutes later her dog started to bark, so she went to let it outside. That’s when the stranger took the opportunity to force his way into the house. However, the woman was armed and immediately drew her firearm and shot him in the shoulder. The perpetrator was able to wrestle the gun from her and escape. The woman was transported to the hospital, but alive thanks to her forward thinking. (KFOR.com, Oklahoma City, Okla., 06/03/20)

During the afternoon on Labor Day, a woman was home with her grandchildren when an armed man burst through her front door. Fearing for her life and the lives of her grandchildren, the woman grabbed a gun and fired at the intruder, killing him. Police said the woman’s actions were justified.
