A man engaged in a fight with woman began to attack her and her 16-year-old daughter outside of their car in a residential area of Charleston, S.C. During the assault, the mother managed to slip her daughter a handgun. The two women attempted to retreat in their vehicle, but the man continued the assault, threatening to kill them as he pounded the car windows with a piece of concrete. Fearing for her and her mother's lives, the teen shot at the assailant, hitting him, then fled the scene. When police arrived, they found the attacker suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, to which he would later succumb.
