A 23-year-old woman was sitting in her parked car at 2 a.m. when four men exited a car—one of whom attempted to get her into her car while brandishing his handgun. However, the woman was a legally carrying and, in fear for her life, was able to shoot at the aggressor, hitting him once in the head. The injured man escaped from the vehicle, while one of the other men fired back at the woman, striking her once in the arm. The injured thug was taken to the hospital, where he remained in critical condition. The woman was taken to a different hospital, and was listed in fair condition. The remaining three suspects fled the scene and have not been apprehended. (TheBlaze.com; Chicago, Ill.; 11/23/22)

A woman was moving her car into her driveway on Halloween night after her boyfriend left. That’s when two armed men—one with an AR-stye rifle and the other a handgun—exited a blacked-out car and approached her from behind. As the men forced the woman into her home, she screamed, alerting her roommate, who confronted the intruders, allegedly shooting one of the in the stomach. Both suspects fled back to the waiting vehicle and sped away. No one inside the house was hurt, and police were still searching for the at-large suspects. (abc13.com; Spring, Texas; 11/1/22)
