A 23-year-old San Angelo, Texas woman intervened in an attempt to stop an assault on one man by another. However, the attacker then turned his attention to her, chasing her with a knife. The woman, who was armed, was able to fire at the aggressor before he harmed her, hitting him in the torso. The man, 51, was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his wounds. After police questioned witnesses and interviewed the victim, police deemed the woman acted in self-defense and would not file charges. (lcsun-news.com, San Angelo, TX 2/9/21)

An Indianapolis woman shot a man in the neck while he was said to have been engaging with her in an aggressive manner. Police are calling the incident a domestic situation, and appeared to be a case of self-defense. The man was taken to the hospital, where he is recovering. (fox59.com, Indianapolis, IN 3/29/21).
