We've said it before and we'll say it again: Women-only gun training rocks. Clearly the folks at SIG SAUER Academy agree, as they've just announced an addition to their course lineup that women who shoot should know about. It's called Introduction to Pistol and PCC for Females with Lena Miculek, and it starts June 2021. The one-day course is taught by Lena Miculek, who is one of the best shooters alive (and a terrific teacher to boot).
The course centers around introducing women to pistols and pistol caliber carbines (PCC). In this course, Miculek encapsulates the most critical and helpful tips and tactics that she's learned as a top female competitive shooter. The course focuses on building a solid foundation of pistol and PCC gun-handling skills.
As a female competitor, Miculek knows that our bodies and strengths vary from woman to woman, and she knows how to help you make the most of what you already have. You can expect to learn personalized shooting techniques to fit your body and play to your strengths, suggesting practice techniques you can do at home, and the best way to set up your gear. (Our own Assistant Editor, Ashley Thess, recently had the opportunity to train with Miculek at the Ambassador Academy, and loved every second.)
Miculek's curriculum vitae would make a Harvard professor blush. She's a third-generation professional competitive shooter and regarded as the top female 3-Gun competitor and PCC specialist in the world. At the age of 17, Lena won her first World Champion Title and has since earned more than 80 major wins and eight world titles in five shooting disciplines. She was recently named a “40 under 40” by SHOT Business magazine, earned the prestigious Gundies “Most Influential Female” award, and is the co-creator of the Miculek YouTube channel with over 1.2 million subscribers.
