An aggressive driver hit multiple people with his truck, and assaulted innocent passersby in a deadly chaotic scene in Carmichael, California. The pickup truck driver first ran over a pedestrian, killing him. A bystander attempted to help the victim, but the driver circled back and deliberately hit that person too. Continuing the carnage two blocks away, the driver rear-ended a woman’s vehicle, pushing it forward 100 yards. He then exited his vehicle armed with a crowbar and began attacking the female driver. A passerby witnessed the incident and yelled at the man to stop, but that only attracted the crazed man toward his car instead.

Another bystander claims to have seen the aggressor beating an elderly man when, in an effort to stop him, the bystander bumped the assailant with his truck. Then, the attacker moved on to a trailer parked nearby, which was occupied by a married couple from Nevada. The husband, a 73-year-old marine veteran, exited the trailer armed with a gun. However, the thug wrestled the gun from him, and in the struggle the elderly victim was shot in the head. His wife then picked up the gun and bravely put an end to the tragic events by shooting the assailant in the upper body. The suspect was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Police have no motive, and the investigation is still on-going. (yourcentralvalley.com, Carmichael, Calif., 06/21/21)

A woman broke into an elderly couple’s home by smashing their patio door with a fire extinguisher. The couple armed themselves and called for help. They confronted the woman and told her to stop. After several warnings, the woman continued to advance, and threatened to kill the residents. The wife fired a single shot, mortally wounding the intruder. The suspect broke into one of the cars in the garage, where she died. The sheriff’s office called this shooting, “an apparent act of self-defense.” (sacramento.cbslocal.com, Modesto, Calif., 07/01/21)
