A Memphis woman got into an argument with the father of her children over his alleged infidelity. Thus she claims she put his belongings outside for him to pick them up. When he arrived, he allegedly began talking to the front door security camera—then broke it, using it to smash open a window at the back of the house. At that point the woman allegedly grabbed a gasoline container and threw it at him. The man used an outside water hose to rinse his eyes, then entered the home and allegedly began assaulting the woman. Police say the woman was able to escape the home, but the man followed her. At that point, and in fear for her life, she fired one shot from her gun, hitting him in the leg. Upon hearing the commotion, a neighbor arrived on the scene, whom the woman asked to call the police. As of this writing, the man was in non-critical condition. No charges have been filed. (wreg.com; Memphis, TN; 2/21/24)
